Why keep carbohydrates to a minimum?
High levels of sugar (as is typical in most sports drinks) may delay the movement of liquid from the stomach to the intestine where absorption occurs. Sugar can also cause stomach upset during exercise. We believe that balancing the body's fluid content and using the body's fat cells as energy is more important to performance.

What are electrolytes?
Electrolytes are sodium, potassium, magnesium & calcium. Electrolytes are absolutely necessary, especially when exercising and if sweating. The American College of Sports Medicine recommends that people who are active for more than one hour require from 500–700mg of sodium for every quart of water consumed.

Can teenagers drink SportAktive EASY?
Absolutely. With a low level of carbohydrates and packed with electrolytes and vitamins, SportAktive is excellent for teenagers and young athletes.
When should I drink SportAktive EASY electrolytes?
Before exercise: drink 16 to 32 ounces approximately 1 hour before training or competition to allow your body to absorb both fluid and electrolytes.
During exercise: take small drinks as required every 10 or 15 minutes.
After: continue to drink for approximately 20 minutes after exercise and as it aids recovery. For people that experience cramping, drink SportAktive EASY after your workout to reduce the likelihood of night-time cramping.
Can I really perform without carbohydrates?
Yes you can! But you need to be hydrated first. Many athletes begin training poorly hydrated. A 2% loss in fluid during exercise can reduce performance by 20%. The better balanced your fluid and electrolyte levels, the longer you can perform without additional carbohydrates. Most athletes do not require additionl carbohydrates until at least 1-1/2 hours of strenuous exercise or competition. Use your body energy first!
How much water should I use per tablet?
1 tablet can be mixed with 16 to 20 ounces of water. Use what tastes best for you.

I have stomach problems with sugar based drinks, is the case with SportAktive EASY?
No. Stomach upsets are typically caused by the ingestion of sports drinks with a high concentration of sugar.
Can I use this to replace my carbohydrate intake during exercise?
No. SportAktive EASY electrolyte is used for hydration, electrolytes, oxygen and minerals. You need to eat and load your calories and energy before with food etc. If your training is longer than 1,30 to 2 hours you maybe need energy supplement, take gel and drink sportaktive easy electrolyte.
Can I use the tablets in drinks other than water?
We recommend using SportAktive EASY with water only. SportAktive EASY is not recommended for use with carbonated soda or carbonated water..
